Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a phospholipid compound. It helps provide structure and protection to cells and plays roles in blood coagulation, bone formation and cell-to-cell communication (cell signaling). Found in cell membranes throughout the body, PS is most highly concentrated within the brain and is an essential component of all neuronal membranes.
