Folic acid has to undergo a number of steps within the body in order to be converted to the active form however our supplements are already in the active methylated form. Best used as a top up product on the advice of a health practitioner: if you have been advised to supplement with methylfolate, we would firstly recommend taking an all-round multivitamin which includes all the B vitamins, including B12.
