Once the sample is collected it is stable at room temperature for up to one month and does not need to be posted on the same day as sample collection.

1. Do not collect your sample when menstruating
2. On the day of sample collection do not apply vaginal lotions, creams, or emollients before taking the sample
3. If possible stop using vaginally inserted probiotics seven days prior to taking sample
4. If you are using antibiotic or anti-fungal treatment please collect your sample 14 days after finishing your medication.
