Uric acid is formed when the body breaks down purines, which are organic compounds serving functions in our genetic material and other activities such as neurotransmission. Most purines are made naturally in the body, and the rest come from the diet.

A tannin-rich extract derived from the edible fruit of the Terminalia bellerica tree helps keep uric acid levels within a healthy range. This standardized extract has been shown to support healthy concentrations of two critical enzymes involved in uric acid metabolism: Xanthine oxidase and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS).

One capsule of Uric Acid Control provides 500 mg of the same patent-pending Terminalia bellerica extract. The suggested dose is one capsule twice daily.
