This product may contain small amounts of glucose, fructose and sucrose as by-products of the process of manufacturing FOS and inulin.

Darmocare Pre is a so-called 'prebiotic' and contains a mixture of inulin and FOS. Fermentation of undigested food components (such as dietary fibre) is an important function of the microflora in the large intestine. The composition of this flora is not static, but varies depending mainly on food consumption and medicine use (such as antibiotics). Tribes living a traditional life consume much

more high-fibre foods than Westerners do; hence their intestinal flora is more diverse and contains more bacterial strains. This is because indigestible fibres (such as inulin and FOS) are nutrition for the bacteria in the large intestine. Inulin and FOS (fructooligosaccharides, also called oligofructose) are short chains of glucose and fructose units. Dietary fibre, inulin and oligofructose escape the digestion process in the small intestine and reach the large intestine virtually intact. However these substances are used by a small group of good bacteria in the large intestine: the bifidobacteria. The intestinal flora of a baby largely consists of bifidobacteria; in elderly people these strains are strongly underrepresented.
Darmocare Pre provides a balanced intestinal flora by selectively stimulating bifidoflora. Darmocare Pre can easily be combined with the other (probiotic) Darmocare products. The probiotics provide

the good bifidobacteria; the prebiotics provide the nutrition for the good bifidobacteria.

Most important characteristics of Darmocare Pre:

  • Special combination of inulin and Fructooligosaccharides (FOS)
  • Specifically helps to increase bifidobacteria
  • Excellent to combine with Darmocare products. The probiotics provide the good bifidobacteria; the prebiotics provide the nutrition for the good bifidobacteria

Dissolve 1 level measuring spoon in water and drink. One level measuring spoon contains app. 6 grams of powder.

When you start using pre- or probiotics, gas and cramping may occur. After a while, generally after

a week, the body has adjusted itself and the complaints are reduced or eliminated. In case of persistent complaints, reduce the initial dose by half for the first two weeks. Interactions with regular medication and other natural health products may occur. Please consult an expert about this.
